What Is a Cam Pack Used For?
A cam turns rotary motion into up-and-down or back-and-forth motion: as the cam turns on its axle, a follower resting on its edge rises and falls with the profile. A pear-shaped cam keeps the follower still for part of each turn and then lifts and drops it, which is the movement behind many moving toys and automata, such as a bird that pecks or a figure that jumps. With two sizes in the pack, students can compare how far the follower moves with a large or a small cam. The pack suits mechanisms topics in technology and STEM classes from class 6 upwards, tinkering labs and ITI or TVET basic engineering.

- Quantity — the number of packs, based on the number of student groups building models.
- Rods and drive parts — plastic rods, motors and gear packs are separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.

OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of STEM kits, model-making parts and general laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The cams are produced at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy from the maker and can reorder matching parts for later kits. JLab exports worldwide and supplies every region — for example Belgium in Western Europe, DR Congo in Central Africa, Namibia in Southern Africa, Egypt in North Africa and Afghanistan in South Asia. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
Parts for Moving Models
- Plastic Rod — rigid 4 mm diameter plastic rods that also work as axles in car models.
