What Is a Polypropylene Conical Flask Used For?
The sloping walls of a conical flask let its contents be swirled without splashing out of the narrower neck, which is why the shape is used for mixing, dissolving and reactions on the bench. Capped, the same flask becomes a sealed container for storing or carrying a solution, and a rigid polypropylene body copes with handling that would risk breaking glass.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should the cap threads be disengaged before autoclaving?
A tightly closed container traps air, and the pressure change during an autoclave cycle can deform it or stop steam reaching the inside. Leaving the threads disengaged lets the pressure equalise.
How does it differ from JLab’s borosilicate glass conical flasks?
Mainly in material and size range. This flask is polypropylene, in three sizes, 100 ml to 500 ml; the Narrow Neck Conical Flasks, Erlenmeyer, Borosilicate Glass are glass flasks from 25 ml to 5000 ml in Economy and Premium grades.
What details does an export quotation need?
The capacities and number of packs, the destination country and port or city, your preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF) and any packing, labelling or tender requirements.
Who makes this conical flask?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a laboratory plasticware and equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The flasks are made in its own works, not resold from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order straight from the factory and reorder from the same source. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Jordan in the Middle East, Singapore in Southeast Asia, Madagascar in East Africa, Sri Lanka in South Asia and Gabon in Central Africa.
