Product Code : EL-DEECP-1171
Jlab Export is a leading Digital Trainer to Verify Adders and Sub-tractor using NAND Gates Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Digital Trainer to Verify Adders and Sub-tractor using NAND Gates (code EL-DEECP-1171) is a digital electronics trainer for checking the truth tables of the half adder, half subtractor, full adder and full subtractor, with every circuit built from NAND gates only. It suits digital electronics practicals in colleges, polytechnics and ITIs where students learn why NAND is called a universal gate. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

Why Build Adders and Subtractors from NAND Gates?

NAND is a universal gate: a NOT gate is a NAND with its inputs joined, an AND gate is a NAND followed by that inverter, and by De Morgan’s theorem a NAND fed with inverted inputs acts as an OR gate. A small network of NAND gates also forms the EX-OR function. Because the sum of an adder and the difference of a subtractor are EX-OR functions, and the carry and borrow are AND-type functions (the borrow uses the inverted minuend), all four arithmetic circuits can be wired from one gate type. Students set the input bits and compare the outputs with the expected truth tables; the full circuits add a carry or borrow input to the half circuits.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Gate family — this NAND-only trainer or the version using OR, AND, EX-OR and NOT gates.
  • Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which circuits can be verified on this trainer?
The half adder, half subtractor, full adder and full subtractor, each by checking its truth table.

Why use only NAND gates?
It shows that any logic function can be made from a single universal gate type, which is how many practical circuits are built from one kind of IC.

Who makes this trainer?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) makes it at its Ambala works in Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of educational and electronics lab instruments, incorporated in 2017 with its base on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Its digital trainers are produced in-house, so institutions, dealers and importers deal directly with the maker for quotations, repeat orders and follow-up. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Albania in Southern Europe, Vietnam in Southeast Asia, Zambia in East Africa, Kuwait in the Middle East and Burkina Faso in West Africa.
