What Is the Distance Protection Relay Trainer Used For?
A distance relay uses the voltage and current measured at one end of a line to work out the impedance to a fault. Line impedance rises with length, so a fault inside the protected zone shows a lower impedance than the relay setting and the relay operates. Here the relay sits alongside line, transformer, CT and metering panels, so the whole protection scheme can be studied together.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a numerical relay?
A numerical relay is microprocessor based. It samples the current and voltage signals, converts them to digital values and applies its protection logic in software, rather than relying on moving electromechanical parts such as an induction disc.
What does the CT panel do?
A current transformer (CT) steps the line current down in a fixed ratio to a level that relays and meters can measure.
What should an export enquiry include?
The number of trainers, the destination country and port or city, the delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF) and any tender reference.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an engineering lab equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The trainer is built in JLab’s own works, not bought in from a trader, so colleges, dealers and importers buy straight from the maker. The company holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise and Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Uruguay in South America, Thailand in Southeast Asia, Italy in Southern Europe, Lesotho in Southern Africa and Uzbekistan in Central Asia. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
