Boiling Tube or Test Tube?
The wider bore and extra length leave more room above the liquid, so a sample can be boiled with less risk of it spurting from the mouth. Use it to boil plant material, to heat solids that give off a gas, or for a reaction closed with a stopper and delivery tube.
