What the Automatic Functions Do
Auto zero tracking corrects small drifts of the zero reading while the pan is empty. The stability indicator shows when the reading has settled, so the value is noted only then. The net weight indication shows when a container has been tared off and the display gives the contents alone. Auto shut-off switches the balance off when it is left idle, and the low-battery indicator warns before the power runs out.
Setting Up for a Class
Stand the balance on a firm, level bench away from draughts and vibration, and let it settle after switching on. Place samples in the centre of the pan, and weigh powders on paper or in a container rather than straight onto the steel.
