Haemocytometer Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-GAIE-6890
Jlab Export is a leading Haemocytometer Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Haemocytometer (code EL-GAIE-6890) is an Improved Neubauer pattern counting chamber for estimating the number of cells or other particles in a suspension. The cell has two counting grids separated by a central trough, each divided into 400 squares of 0.05 x 0.05 mm, and is used in biology, microbiology and physiology teaching labs. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, Ambala, India) supplies it to schools, colleges and dealers.

How Does It Compare with the JLab Neubauer Chamber?
| Item | Listed design | Listed size and ruling |
|---|---|---|
| This Haemocytometer (EL-GAIE-6890) | Improved Neubauer pattern; two counting grids separated by a central trough | 400 squares of 0.05 x 0.05 mm; 22 x 26 coverslips not included |
| Neubauer Chamber | Thick crystal slide with two chambers that can be loaded separately for blood cell counting | 30 x 70 mm, 4 mm thick; 9 square subdivisions of 1 mm width |
Choose this haemocytometer when you want the Improved Neubauer ruling described down to its smallest 0.05 mm squares; the Neubauer Chamber listing gives the slide dimensions and its 1 mm subdivisions instead. Ask JLab if you need both described on the same basis before ordering.
What Is a Haemocytometer Used For?
A haemocytometer lets students count cells directly under the microscope. A drop of well-mixed, suitably diluted suspension is run under the coverslip from the edge so that it fills the counting area by capillary action; the cells lying in chosen squares are counted, and the count is converted to cells per unit volume using the dilution factor and the volume above the squares counted. Because the ruled area is fixed — 400 squares of 0.0025 mm² each — results from different groups can be compared. Typical teaching uses include counting yeast cells in fermentation and population-growth practicals, cell suspensions in biotechnology and microbiology courses, and blood cell counting exercises in physiology teaching labs. A hand tally counter speeds up the counting.
After use, rinse the chamber and coverslip with distilled water, dry them with lens tissue, and avoid touching or scratching the ruled grids.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 haemocytometers.
- Coverslips — the listed 22 x 26 coverslips are not included; ask for them on the same enquiry.
- Accessories — confirm whether you need diluting pipettes or a storage case, as they are not listed with this item.
Frequently Asked Questions
What ruling does this haemocytometer have?
The Improved Neubauer pattern. Each of its two counting grids is divided into 400 squares of 0.05 x 0.05 mm, which together cover 1 mm².
Are coverslips included?
No. The 22 x 26 coverslips used with the chamber are not included and should be ordered separately.
Why are there two counting grids?
So that two samples, or two fillings of the same sample, can be counted on one chamber. The central trough separates the grids and keeps the two fillings apart.
What can be counted with it?
Any cells or particles in suspension that are large enough to see under the microscope, such as yeast cells, cultured cells or blood cells in teaching practicals.
Who supplies this haemocytometer?

Supplier
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Alongside the laboratory equipment it makes itself, JLab resells selected items such as this counting chamber, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers can buy their microscopy accessories together with the rest of their biology lab equipment. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Bangladesh in South Asia, Croatia in Southern Europe, South Korea in East Asia, Switzerland in Western Europe and Trinidad and Tobago in Central America and the Caribbean. Tender buyers can refer to the JLab lab tenders page.
