How the Double Oblique Key Differs
A straight-through stopcock simply opens or shuts one line. Here the key carries two bores set at an angle, and turning it brings one passage or the other into line, so a single stopcock can switch a connection between two routes. Spread the vacuum grease thinly and evenly over the glass key so that neither bore is blocked.
