  • Inflammation and infection (3): human kidney pyelonephritis, human lung tuberculosis and human gallbladder cholecystitis.
  • Cell injury, circulation and blood (3): human liver fatty denaturation (fatty change of the liver), human myocardium infarct and human blood anemia (smear).

What Is the Human Pathology Slide Set Used For?

Pathology is easiest to grasp when students can see the difference between healthy and diseased tissue, and this set gives a compact selection of the main kinds of change. It contrasts benign tumours — a fibroma, which arises from fibrous connective tissue, and an adenoma, which arises from glandular tissue — with cancers of the lung and liver and a melanin-containing (pigmented) tumour. The lung tuberculosis slide shows the tubercles that form around the infection, the pyelonephritis and cholecystitis slides show inflammation of the kidney and gallbladder, and the myocardium infarct shows heart muscle that has died after its blood supply was cut off.

The fatty liver slide shows fat droplets building up inside liver cells, and the anaemia smear lets students compare red blood cells with a normal smear, where depending on the type of anaemia they may look fewer, paler, smaller or misshapen. The set supports the human health and disease topic in class 12 biology, histology and pathology teaching in colleges, and biology clubs exploring medicine as a career. It is a teaching set and is not intended for diagnosis. Viewing a normal tissue slide alongside each diseased one makes the changes much clearer.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Number of sets — minimum 10 units.
  • Normal-tissue comparison — order the Human Physiology set with it so students can compare healthy and diseased tissue.
  • Microbiology link — the Human Diseases set shows the bacteria behind tuberculosis and other infections.
  • Microscopes — tissue sections need a laboratory microscope with several objectives; microscopes are quoted separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which conditions are shown in the Human Pathology set?
Anaemia (blood smear), fatty change of the liver, a melanin tumour, lung cancer, fibroma, intestinal adenoma, liver cancer, myocardium infarct, kidney pyelonephritis, lung tuberculosis, capillary tumour and gallbladder cholecystitis — 12 slides.

Are the tumour slides benign or malignant?
Both kinds are included. Fibroma and adenoma are benign tumours, while the lung and liver slides are labelled as cancers.

Can this set be used for diagnosis?
No. It is a teaching set for showing students what diseased tissue looks like; it is not a diagnostic or clinical product.

What does “liver fatty denaturation” mean on the label?
It refers to fatty change of the liver, more often called fatty degeneration, in which fat droplets accumulate inside the liver cells. The slide is listed under the label shown.

Which set shows the normal tissues for comparison?
The Human Physiology Prepared Slide set includes normal human liver, lung, cardiac muscle, skin, stomach and blood slides, which pair well with this set.

What should an export enquiry include?
The number of sets, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, packing or labelling requirements and any tender reference.

Who manufactures the Human Pathology set?
JLab — Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd — at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of laboratory teaching equipment for schools and colleges in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab produces this pathology set at its own works instead of buying it in from a trader, so colleges, schools, dealers and importers order from the manufacturer directly, each set is checked visually before dispatch, and repeat requirements are met by the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Vanuatu in Oceania, Latvia in Northern Europe, Namibia in Southern Africa, Albania in Southern Europe and Malawi in East Africa. Tender buyers can find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
