Lift Pump Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-SLE-4623
Jlab Export is a leading Lift Pump Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Lift Pump (code EL-SLE-4623) is a borosilicate glass model of a lift pump, about 355 mm high, fitted with non-return valves and an outlet tube, used in school and college physics lessons to show valve action and the flow of liquid through a suction pump. Because the body is glass, students can watch the valves open and close as the liquid moves. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Lift Pump Model Used For?
A lift pump raises water by letting atmospheric pressure do the work. In a lift pump, the upstroke of the piston closes the valve in the piston and opens the lower valve, and the reduced pressure under the piston lets the air pressure on the water outside push water up into the barrel. On the downstroke the lower valve shuts and the piston valve opens, so the water passes above the piston, and the next upstroke lifts it out through the outlet. Because only atmospheric pressure pushes the water up, a lift pump cannot raise water much more than 10 metres even in theory — a point that links the model to lessons on atmospheric pressure, fluid pressure and non-return valves in school physics and to introductory fluid-mechanics classes. Support the glass model upright and securely while it is in use, and drain and rinse it afterwards.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does this lift pump demonstrate?
Valve action and the flow of liquid. Students see the non-return valves open and close in turn and the liquid leave through the outlet tube, which explains how a suction pump lifts water.
What is it made of, and how tall is it?
Borosilicate glass, about 355 mm high. The model has non-return valves and a tube fitted for the fluid outlet.
Why can a lift pump not raise water from a deep well?
The water is pushed up by atmospheric pressure, which can support a water column of only a little over 10 metres. Deeper wells need a force pump or a submersible pump, which push the water rather than relying on suction.
Who manufactures the lift pump?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and supplies it directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a physics and science teaching equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and working from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The glass lift pump is produced at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers get it factory-direct, every model is inspected by eye before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the maker. JLab exports worldwide and can supply buyers in every region, for example Uzbekistan in Central Asia, Sudan in North Africa, Peru in South America, Armenia in Eastern Europe and Ivory Coast in West Africa.
