What Is the Lima Bean Leaf Model Used For?
It shows how a leaf is built for photosynthesis. The tightly packed palisade cells beneath the upper epidermis carry out most of the photosynthesis, while the loosely arranged spongy cells below leave air spaces for gas exchange. Each stoma, opened and closed by its pair of guard cells, lets carbon dioxide in and water vapour out, and in the veins the xylem brings water to the leaf while the phloem carries sugars away.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why show both a transverse and a longitudinal section?
A transverse section cuts across the blade and shows the layers from the upper to the lower epidermis in one view. A longitudinal section runs along the leaf and shows how the veins and their vascular bundles extend through it.
How is it different from JLab’s Dicot Leaf TS?
Both show a leaf in transverse section. This model is taken from a lima bean leaf, magnified 45 times, and also shows a longitudinal section.
What should an export enquiry include?
The number of models, the destination country and port or city, your preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling needs and a tender reference if there is one.
Who manufactures the Lima Bean Leaf Structure Model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of botany and biology models and lab equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The leaf model is produced at JLab’s own works, not bought in, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order it from the manufacturer directly. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Japan in East Asia, Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, Turkey in the Middle East, Bhutan in South Asia and Argentina in South America. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
