Changing Between 20X and 40X
Magnification is changed by swapping the eyepieces: with the 2X objective, the WF 10X eyepieces give 20X and the WF 20X eyepieces give 40X. The image is three-dimensional and not reversed, so a specimen pushed to the left on the stage also moves left in view, which makes it easy to position and handle. The 70 mm working distance leaves room to work on the specimen.
How It Differs From the Plastic Stereo Microscope
The Plastic Stereo Microscope works at 20X only, through 10X wide-field eyepieces and a pair of 2X objectives. This model reaches 40X as well, rests specimens on a 60 mm white stage plate with clips, and focuses with bilateral coarse focus on a track-controlled stand.
