What Is the Pulmonary Alveoli Model Used For?
Air reaches the alveoli through a tree of airways that narrows at every division, and the smallest bronchioles no longer have the cartilage that supports the larger ones. In the alveolar walls the air is separated from the blood in the capillaries by only a very thin barrier, and this is where oxygen enters the blood and carbon dioxide leaves it. The model links the airway tree to that surface.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the bronchiole have no cartilage?
Cartilage supports the trachea and bronchi, but the small bronchioles have none. Their walls are mainly smooth muscle, which lets them narrow and widen to control the flow of air.
What is the difference between an alveolar duct and an alveolar sac?
An alveolar duct is a passage lined with alveoli that leads on from the smallest bronchioles; it ends in alveolar sacs, which are clusters of alveoli opening into a common space.
What should an export enquiry include?
Quantity, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any tender reference.
Who manufactures the Pulmonary Alveoli Model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
