Jlab Export is a leading Ten layer DNA Molecular Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Ten layer DNA Molecular Model (code EL-MME-7176) is a three-dimensional atomic model of the DNA double helix, built from 640 colour-coded atom parts and mounted on a base and stand, used to teach DNA structure in schools, colleges and universities. Assembled, it stands 18 inches tall and shows ten base-pair layers — roughly one full turn of the helix. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab DNA Models?
| Model | Length | Style and listed contents |
|---|---|---|
| This model (EL-MME-7176) | Ten layers | Atomic model: 640 atom parts (17–23 mm), links, remover tool, instructions, base and stand; 18 in tall |
| Two layer DNA Molecular Model | Two layers | Parts count not listed; compartmented storage case |
| Mini DNA 22 layer base pair Molecular Model | 22 base-pair layers | Simplified model: abstract-shaped, colour-coded parts for bases, sugar and phosphate |
Choose the ten-layer model when you want every atom of the helix on show for a lab or classroom display; the two-layer model is a smaller atomic build, and the mini DNA model trades atomic detail for a longer, simplified helix that is quicker to read.
What Is the Ten Layer DNA Model Used For?
The model shows the Watson–Crick double helix: two sugar–phosphate backbones running in opposite directions on the outside, with the bases paired across the middle. Adenine pairs with thymine through two hydrogen bonds and guanine with cytosine through three, which is why the amounts of A and T, and of G and C, are equal in DNA. Because the parts are built atom by atom, students can pick out the deoxyribose rings, the phosphate groups, the purines and pyrimidines and the major and minor grooves that form as the strands wind round each other.
It is a DNA model kit for the class 12 biology chapter on the molecular basis of inheritance, nucleic acids in class 12 chemistry, heredity lessons from class 10 upwards, and molecular biology and genetics courses at college and university. Students can build the five two-layer units in groups and then stack them on the stand, which turns the assembly itself into a lesson on how base pairs repeat along the helix. The finished model can stay on display in the biology lab.
Fit the links firmly, take the model apart with the link remover tool rather than by pulling on the atom parts, and keep the instructions with the kit for the next build.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 model kits; for example one per lab plus extras for group building.
- Model size — this ten-layer atomic model, the two-layer model or the simplified mini DNA model.
- Companion models — RNA, replication and DNA–RNA comparison models can go on the same enquiry.
- Export details — destination country, port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any tender reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
How tall is the Ten layer DNA Molecular Model when assembled?
It stands 18 inches (about 457 mm) tall on its base and stand.
How many parts does it have and how big are they?
There are 640 atom parts, ranging from 17 mm to 23 mm in diameter, plus the links, a link remover tool, instructions and the base and stand.
Which base pairs does the model show?
It is assembled from five two-layer units, each containing one thymine–adenine and one cytosine–guanine pair on sugar–phosphate chains, giving ten base-pair layers in all.
What material are the parts made of?
The atom parts and links are durable plastic, colour-coded to national standards for ease of identification.
Is the stand included?
Yes. A base and stand are part of this model and support the completed helix.
How is it different from the mini DNA model?
This model is built atom by atom. The mini DNA model uses abstract-shaped, colour-coded parts for whole bases, sugars and phosphates, so it shows a longer helix with less atomic detail.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
Quantity, destination country and port or city, preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling needs and, for tenders, the tender reference.
Who manufactures this DNA model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and supplies it directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of science teaching models and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The DNA model is produced in JLab’s own works, not bought from a trader, so universities, colleges, schools, dealers and importers buy factory-direct, each kit is inspected by eye before dispatch, and repeat orders and spare atom parts are handled by the manufacturer. The company is registered under CIN U29309HR2017PTC069123 and holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Austria in Western Europe, Albania in Southern Europe, Uganda in East Africa, Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia and Ghana in West Africa. Tender supply is described on the JLab lab tenders page.
