What Is the Unconsciousness Chart Used For?
Whatever the cause, current first-aid teaching starts an unconscious casualty the same way: check for danger, check for a response, open the airway and check breathing. A casualty who is breathing is placed in the recovery position and watched; one who is not breathing normally needs an emergency call and CPR. The five conditions on this chart then add their own points — cooling a person with sun stroke and getting urgent help, laying a fainted person flat with the legs raised, protecting a person having a fit without restraining them or putting anything in their mouth, keeping a feverish young child with convulsions safe and seeking medical advice, and starting resuscitation after drowning.
The chart suits first-aid courses, school and college health education, sports and swimming clubs, hostels and workplace safety training. Use it with hands-on practice of the recovery position and CPR, and where an older printed instruction differs from current first-aid guidance, teach the current guidance. The laminated face wipes clean, and the rollers let the chart be rolled up between lessons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which conditions does the Unconsciousness Chart cover?
Sun stroke, fainting, epileptic fit, infantile convulsions and drowning. The treatment text printed for each is not reproduced in the listing; ask JLab for a current image to review it.
What should a first aider never do during a fit?
Never restrain the person and never put anything in their mouth. Move hard objects away, cushion the head, and once the jerking stops, check breathing and place the person in the recovery position.
Is this chart enough to train first aiders?
No chart is. It is a teaching aid to support a first-aid course with practical sessions on the recovery position and CPR.
What are the size and finish?
50 x 75 cm, laminated with thick plastic film on both sides, fitted with plastic rollers, in English and Hindi combined or English only.
What are the minimum order and dispatch time?
The minimum order is 10 units, sold individually; dispatch usually takes 7–10 working days after each chart is visually inspected. Export buyers should give the destination country and port or city and the preferred delivery terms, such as FOB or CIF.
