Preparing and Storing Media in the Bottle
Dissolve the powdered medium in water inside the bottle, keep the cap loose while it is heated so steam can escape, and tighten it once the contents have cooled for storage. When plates or tubes are poured, the pouring ring stops the last drops running down the outside of the glass. At 105 mm high and 62 mm across, the bottle stands steadily on a bench or a fridge shelf. Keep both bottle and cap below the 140 °C limit.
