Product Code : EL-CL-13433
Jlab Export is a leading Weights with Hooks Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Weights with Hooks (code EL-CL-13433) is a boxed set of hooked masses, two each of 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 g, for experiments on force, mass, weight, tension and load. The hook on every weight lets it hang from spring balances, pulleys, levers and other apparatus. JLab makes this weight set in Ambala, India.

From Mass to Force
A hanging mass pulls down with its weight, W = mg. Taking g as about 9.8 m/s², the 1000 g mass weighs about 9.8 N and each 100 g mass about 0.98 N, so the set works naturally with a dynamometer that reads in newtons. The weights can be used one at a time or combined, and because every value comes in pairs, equal loads can be hung on both sides of a lever or a pulley system for comparison.
Related Mechanics Apparatus
- Mechanical Dynamometer with Upper and Lower Hooks — reads the pull of these masses in newtons.
- Spring Set (Metal with Hooks) — springs of five different stiffnesses to load with these weights.
- Lever with Supporting Stand for Torque and Equilibrium Investigations — a scaled lever for balancing loads by moments.
- Set of Hooked Masses — a second hooked set that includes smaller masses.
More physics apparatus is in the Chemistry Lab range.
