Extending the Legs for a Set-Up
Draw out each telescopic leg to the length needed, so that the top of the tripod ends up near eye height and close to level, even on sloping ground. With the legs spread evenly round the station mark, the theodolite, level or total station is fixed on top and then levelled with its own screws and bubble. Dimensions and other specifications can be chosen to match the instrument it will carry.
