Conductivity, TDS and Temperature in One Reading
Dip the probe end into the sample and the display shows conductivity or the matching TDS value. Conductivity rises as a solution warms, so the meter corrects each reading for temperature, using a compensation factor that can be set anywhere from 0 to 5.0% per °C to suit the water or solution being tested.
The 2000 µS range suits drinking water, rain water and dilute solutions; the 20.00 mS range takes more concentrated samples such as nutrient or fertiliser solutions.
Hold, Recall and Calibration
Data hold freezes the display, so a reading can be noted after the meter is lifted out of the sample, and memory recall shows the maximum and minimum values of a series. External calibration buttons let the meter be set against a standard solution without opening the case. A custom one-chip microprocessor runs the meter; it switches itself off to save the batteries, or can be turned off with the push button.
An instruction manual comes with the meter. A soft carrying case with a sash (210 x 110 x 55 mm) and a hard carrying case (280 x 195 x 65 mm) are optional.
