DC Ammeters and Voltmeters Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-SPAVRT-1224
Jlab Export is a leading DC Ammeters and Voltmeters Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
DC Ammeters and Voltmeters (code EL-SPAVRT-1224) are moving-coil panel meters for reading direct current and DC voltage on control panels, power supplies and lab training boards. They are offered in three flush-mounting cases — 85 mm round, 100 mm round and 110 x 90 mm — and use a friction-free suspension system, a magnetic circuit that blocks external magnetic fields, and temperature compensation. They are made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Are DC Panel Ammeters and Voltmeters Used For?
A moving-coil meter turns its pointer in proportion to the direct current through its coil, which makes it the standard choice for DC readings. An ammeter is wired in series with the load, with a shunt carrying most of the current on higher ranges; a voltmeter has a series resistor that sets its range and is wired across the supply. Flush-mounted in a panel cut-out, these meters show output voltage and current on DC power supplies, battery charging boards, DC motor and electroplating panels, and on the training boards used in ITI, polytechnic and engineering college electrical labs. The micro ammeter ranges, including the centre-zero 30–0–30 scale, suit the small currents in physics and electronics experiments such as photocell, solar cell and transistor characteristics.
Because the movement is moving-coil, observe polarity: connect positive to positive, or the pointer will deflect backwards (except on a centre-zero scale, which reads both ways). Use a rectifier-type or AC meter for alternating current. Mount the meter in its intended position, keep it away from heavy vibration, and choose a range whose full scale sits a little above the highest reading you expect.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Ammeter or voltmeter, and the full-scale range of each — voltmeter ranges are not listed, so state the value you need.
- Case — (A) 85 mm round, (B) 100 mm round or (C) 110 x 90 mm flush.
- Micro ammeter range and unit — confirm whether you need microamperes or milliamperes for the listed values.
- Quantity per range and case — the minimum order is 10 units.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which case sizes are available?
Three flush-mounting cases: (A) 85 mm round, (B) 100 mm round and (C) 110 x 90 mm. Choose the size that matches your panel cut-out or the meters already fitted.
Which micro ammeter ranges are listed?
0–50, 30–0–30, 0–100, 150, 200, 250, 300 and 500. The listing prints the unit as mA while grouping them as micro ammeters, so confirm whether you need microamperes or milliamperes in your enquiry.
What does a 30–0–30 scale mean?
It is a centre-zero scale: the pointer rests in the middle and swings left or right, so it shows the direction of current as well as its size. It is useful where the current can reverse, such as when charging and discharging a capacitor.
Will nearby magnets or temperature changes affect the reading?
The listing states that the magnetic circuit blocks the effects of external magnetic fields and that a temperature compensation circuit is built in. The suspension system is also described as friction-free and strongly resistant to shock.
Can these meters measure AC?
No. They are DC moving-coil meters. For alternating voltage, see JLab’s AC rectifier type moving-coil voltmeter range linked below.
What should an export enquiry include?
The type (ammeter or voltmeter), range and case for each line, quantities, destination country and port or city, preferred delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, any packing or labelling needs, and a tender reference if there is one.
Who manufactures these meters?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes them at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and supplies them directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an electrical measuring instrument and laboratory equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. These panel meters are built at JLab’s own works, not sourced from a trader, so panel builders, institutes, dealers and importers buy from the maker; each meter is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat ranges and replacements are handled by the manufacturer. The company is registered under CIN U29309HR2017PTC069123 and holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 (manufacturing enterprise). JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Yemen in the Middle East, Turkmenistan in Central Asia, New Zealand in Oceania, Trinidad and Tobago in Central America and the Caribbean, and Croatia in Southern Europe. For tender purchases, see the JLab lab tenders page.
