Digital Satellite Receiver Trainer

Product Code : EL-FOT-10258
Jlab Export is a leading Digital Satellite Receiver Trainer Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Digital Satellite Receiver Trainer (code EL-FOT-10258) is a communication lab training kit that shows how a dish antenna, an LNB and a digital receiver turn a satellite downlink into picture and sound. Its 17 test points let students trace the signal through the receiver stage by stage. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Digital Satellite Receiver Trainer Used For?

In satellite television reception the dish focuses the weak downlink signal onto the LNB (low-noise block downconverter), which amplifies it and shifts the C-band or Ku-band carrier down to an L-band intermediate frequency that can travel along coaxial cable to the receiver. The receiver then tunes a single transponder channel, demodulates and decodes the digital signal, and delivers video and audio to a television or monitor. This trainer lays that chain out for practical work, from the F-type dish input through the tuning controls to the video and audio outputs.

It suits satellite communication practicals in the electronics and communication labs of polytechnics, engineering colleges and ITI/TVET institutes, where students tune channels with the receiver controls and watch how the signal changes between the dish input and the picture on screen.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the number of satellite receiver trainers needed for your lab.
  • Your experiment list or tender specification — so the quotation can be matched against the inputs, outputs and controls in the table above.
  • Other communication trainers — the antenna, TV and exchange trainers linked below are separate items and can be quoted on the same enquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which LNBs come with the trainer?
Ku-band and C-band type LNBs are provided, so reception in both bands can be demonstrated. The dish antenna and LNB are meant to be mounted on an aluminium profile.

What input frequency range does the receiver accept?
The RF input covers 950–2150 MHz at an input impedance of 75 ohm, which is the L-band range that an LNB delivers down the cable.

What outputs does it provide?
RCA-type composite video, audio and TV outputs. Video is available in PAL or NTSC at 1 Vpp into a 75 ohm load, with an image resolution of 352 x 288, and the RF output runs from about 470 to 862 MHz.

Can it run on a 110 V mains supply?
Yes. The power supply accepts 110–260 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz.

What information is needed for an export quotation?
Send the quantity, the destination country and port or city, the delivery terms you prefer (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirements and the tender reference if the purchase is for a tender.

Who manufactures this trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, builds it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it directly.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an electronics trainer and laboratory equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The satellite receiver trainer is assembled at JLab’s own works rather than bought in from a trader, so engineering colleges, polytechnics, dealers and importers deal with the maker, and repeat orders and spare parts are handled by the same team. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Mozambique in East Africa, Samoa in Oceania, Nepal in South Asia, Norway in Northern Europe and Albania in Southern Europe. Institutions buying through a tender can find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
