Diode Charts

Product Code : EL-PC-2935
Jlab Export is a leading Diode Charts Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Diode Charts (code EL-PC-2935) is a laminated physics wall chart on semiconductor diodes, for class 12 electronics lessons and college physics labs where students learn how a p-n junction conducts in one direction only and how diodes rectify alternating current. The chart is 58 x 90 cm, printed on 130 gsm coated art paper and fitted with plastic rollers. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, Ambala, India) supplies it to schools, colleges and dealers.

What Is the Diode Chart Used For?

A semiconductor diode is a p-n junction: a piece of p-type material joined to n-type material. When it is forward biased, with the p side connected to the positive terminal, current flows once a small threshold voltage is passed; when it is reverse biased, only a tiny leakage current flows until the breakdown voltage is reached. That one-way behaviour lets a single diode act as a half-wave rectifier, two diodes with a centre-tapped transformer give full-wave rectification, and four diodes form a bridge rectifier; a capacitor across the output then smooths the pulsating direct current. Special diodes build on the same junction — a Zener diode works in reverse breakdown as a voltage regulator, a light-emitting diode gives out light when forward biased, and a photodiode responds to light falling on its junction.

The chart supports the class 12 physics chapter on semiconductor electronics and the practical in which students plot the I–V characteristic of a p-n junction diode in forward and reverse bias. It also suits polytechnic, ITI electronics and first-year engineering classes. The listing does not detail the panels printed on the chart, so ask JLab for a preview image if you need to check which diode types or rectifier circuits are drawn. Although the catalogue name is plural, the listing describes one 58 x 90 cm chart; if you expect a set of several charts, mention it in your enquiry.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the minimum order is 10 charts.
  • Practical apparatus — a p-n junction characteristics set or rectifier training board, if students will take readings as well as study the chart.
  • Companion chart — Electric Circuits Components Symbols, so students can read the circuit diagrams.
  • Delivery — destination country and city or port, delivery terms and any tender reference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this one chart or a set?
The listing gives the size and weight of one chart, 58 x 90 cm and 228 g, sold individually. If you expected a set under the plural name, say so in your enquiry and JLab will confirm what is supplied.

Which syllabus topic does it cover?
Semiconductor diodes — the p-n junction, forward and reverse bias and rectification — from class 12 physics and introductory electronics courses.

Can I see the chart before ordering?
Yes. The diagrams are not described in the listing, so ask JLab for a preview image with your quotation.

Will it survive heavy classroom use?
It is laminated on both sides with 30 micron heat-sealable polyester, and the surface is listed as markable and washable, so it can be annotated and wiped clean.

Is a diode or circuit board included?
No. This is a printed chart. Diode modules and rectifier apparatus are separate listings, linked below.

What information does an export quotation need?
The quantity, destination country and port or city, preferred delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, any packing or labelling instructions and the tender reference if one applies.

Who supplies it?
JLab, the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd in Ambala, Haryana, India, supplies the chart and quotes for it directly.

Supplier

JLab trades as part of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Besides its own range of physics and electronics practical apparatus, JLab supplies printed teaching charts such as this one, so a physics lab can order the diode kit and the chart that explains it together. Charts are inspected by eye before packing. JLab exports to every region of the world and can supply buyers in Armenia in Eastern Europe, Cambodia in Southeast Asia, Sudan in North Africa, Mali in West Africa and Ethiopia in East Africa, among many other countries. Tender buyers can refer to the JLab lab tenders page.
