Where the Head Fits in Steam Distillation
Steam led into the flask carries volatile compounds that do not mix with water over at a temperature below their own boiling points. The head admits that steam and passes the mixed vapour on to the condenser. Both versions end in a B19 condenser cone, so one condenser size serves either; pick the B34 flask cone for a flask with a B34 socket.
