What Is the Vikram Sarabhai Chart Used For?
Vikram Sarabhai was an Indian physicist who studied cosmic rays and founded the Physical Research Laboratory in Ahmedabad. He led the committee that became the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), set up the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station near Thiruvananthapuram, and saw satellites as a way to bring education and communication to India’s villages. After Homi Bhabha’s death he also chaired the Atomic Energy Commission, and he helped found the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad. The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre carries his name.
Schools use the chart in lessons and exhibitions on rockets, satellites and space science, for World Space Week and science-day displays, and to introduce students to India’s space history. Wipe the laminated surface with a soft damp cloth, avoid long exposure to direct sunlight, and roll the chart on its rollers when storing it.

OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of science teaching equipment, lab apparatus and wall charts in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The chart is made in JLab’s own works and not bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order factory-direct; each chart is visually inspected before dispatch and repeat orders are handled by the manufacturer.
