Floating Globe Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India

Floating Globe

Product Code : EL-ELA-5530
Jlab Export is a leading Floating Globe Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Floating Globe (code EL-ELA-5530) is a magnetic levitation globe that hovers motionlessly in the air, held by an electromagnet and a hidden sensor, giving the illusion of anti-gravity. It is a decorative piece for homes and offices that also shows people of all ages a little applied physics, and it moves back to the centre on its own when nudged slightly. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does the Floating Globe Work?

Magnets fixed in place cannot, on their own, hold an object in stable levitation — a result known as Earnshaw’s theorem — so the globe would drift and fall without help. In this design a hidden sensor keeps track of where the globe is, and the electromagnet’s pull is adjusted continuously in response. If the globe is moved slightly away from its equilibrium position, the correction brings it back to the centre. It is a neat, visible example of feedback control and of the magnetic effect of an electric current, a topic students meet in class 10 physics.

What Is the Floating Globe Used For?

Above all it is a decor ornament that combines technology and art: it suits a desk, reception counter, shelf or study at home or in the office, and it makes a talking point for visitors. In schools and science centres it can sit in a physics corner or library as a conversation starter about magnetism and control systems, alongside hands-on apparatus such as electromagnets and floating ring magnets.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Size and shape — describe the size and form you want, since the globe is made to the customer’s demand.
  • Mains supply — give your voltage and plug type, as the electromagnet and sensor are powered electrically.
  • Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
  • Delivery details — destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any packing or labelling needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the floating globe stay in the air?
An electromagnet and a hidden sensor work together: the sensor tracks the globe’s position and the electromagnet’s pull is adjusted so the globe hovers motionlessly.

What happens if the globe is touched?
If it is moved slightly from its equilibrium position, it returns to the centre automatically.

Is the floating globe a teaching item or a decoration?
It is mainly a decor piece for homes and offices, but it is also a talking point for magnetism and feedback control in schools and science centres.

What sizes are available?
The floating globe is made in different sizes and shapes to the customer’s demand; describe what you need in your enquiry.

What information is needed for an export quotation?
Send the size and shape, quantity, mains supply, destination country and port or city, delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), and packing or labelling requirements.

Who manufactures the floating globe?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of educational, science and display equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The floating globe is built at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so retailers, gift distributors, dealers and importers buy direct from the maker; every unit is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat and made-to-order sizes are handled by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Kuwait in the Middle East, Guatemala in Central America and the Caribbean, Angola in Central Africa, Ethiopia in East Africa and Belgium in Western Europe. Institutional buyers can find tender details on the JLab lab tenders page.
