How Fluidization Speeds Up Drying
Hot air rising through the product container at enough velocity lifts the particles and keeps them in constant motion, so each granule is surrounded by heated air. Heat and moisture transfer quickly and evenly across the whole batch, giving uniform drying in a shorter time than a static bed. The container has a stirrer, the online sampling device lets samples be drawn while drying continues, and the Dutch sieve and perforated sheet at the product container dismantle quickly.
The dryer is used to reduce the moisture content of pharmaceutical powders and granules, and also for drying suspensions, slurries, solutions, dilute pastes and sludges.
