Galvanometer, DC Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-ELA-5329
Jlab Export is a leading Galvanometer, DC Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Galvanometer, DC (code EL-ELA-5329) is a direct-current galvanometer for measuring and detecting small electric currents in school and college physics labs. A current through its coil produces a turning effect that moves a needle across the meter scale, so even a weak current shows up clearly. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the DC Galvanometer Used For?
In a moving-coil galvanometer the coil sits in a magnetic field; a current through it produces a torque proportional to the current, a spring opposes the turn, and the needle settles at a deflection that grows with the current. That makes the instrument the standard current detector in class 12 physics practicals: the null-point detector in metre bridge and potentiometer experiments, the meter whose resistance and figure of merit are found by the half-deflection method, and the meter that students convert into an ammeter with a shunt or into a voltmeter with a series resistance. It also shows the small induced currents produced when a magnet is moved through a coil.
Protect the coil from overload: connect it through a key or a protective resistance, close the key only briefly while hunting for a balance point, and keep the meter away from strong magnets.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a DC galvanometer measure?
Small direct currents. It is used both to measure weak currents and to show when no current flows, as at the balance point of a bridge or potentiometer.
Is the deflection proportional to charge or to current?
To current. The torque on the coil is proportional to the current flowing through it, so the steady needle deflection indicates the size of the current.
Which range and scale does it have?
The listing does not give the range or say whether the scale is centre-zero. State what your practicals need and JLab will confirm the meter it quotes.
Who manufactures this galvanometer?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of physics lab instruments in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The galvanometer is produced at JLab’s own works, not bought in from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy it factory-direct and repeat orders are handled by the maker. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Chile in South America, Luxembourg in Western Europe, Kenya in East Africa, Tunisia in North Africa and Brunei in Southeast Asia. Details for tender buyers are on the JLab lab tenders page.
