What Is the GSM Trainer Used For?

Frequently Asked Questions
What does quad-band mean?
The unit works on all four main GSM bands. The 900 and 1800 MHz bands are used across most of Europe, Asia and Africa, and 850 and 1900 MHz mainly in the Americas.
Why is there a level converter on the serial connector?
GSM modules use logic-level serial lines, while a standard 9-pin serial port works at higher voltage levels; the converter matches the two so the trainer connects directly to such a port.
How does it differ from the GSM Mobile Trainer Kit?
That kit is a dual-band 900/1800 MHz GSM/GPRS modem with a USB connector for PC communication, membrane keys and a graphic LCD. This trainer covers four bands and connects through its 9-pin serial connector.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of electronics and communication trainers in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The GSM Trainer comes from JLab’s own works, not from a trading house, so buyers order from the manufacturer and return to it for repeat units. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example New Zealand in Oceania, Ireland in Western Europe, Uzbekistan in Central Asia, the USA in North America and Chad in Central Africa.
