What Is the Healthy Eye Chart Used For?
The chart gathers the simple eye-care routines taught in many yoga and health education classes onto one sheet. In palming, the hands are rubbed together until warm and the cupped palms rest over the closed eyes without pressing on them. Yoga eye exercises move the gaze up and down, from side to side and in circles, and shift focus between near and far points. Eye washing uses clean water, and tratak (trataka) is the yogic practice of gazing steadily at one point. Hung in a classroom, library or yoga room, it reminds students who read or use screens for long periods to rest their eyes.
Safety note on sun gazing: looking directly at the sun, even when it is low at sunrise, can permanently damage the retina. Teachers should not ask students to gaze at the sun; tratak can be taught with a candle flame or a fixed point on the wall instead. The chart is a teaching aid for relaxation routines, not a treatment, and anyone with an eye problem should see an eye specialist. Wipe the laminated face with a damp cloth and roll the chart on its rollers for storage.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Healthy Eye Chart show?
Four practices: eye washing, tratak on the rising sun, eye exercises and palming. Ask JLab for an image of the artwork if you want to see the layout before ordering.
Is it safe to practise tratak on the rising sun?
No. Looking straight at the sun at any time of day can injure the retina, so use the chart to introduce tratak but practise it with a candle flame or a fixed point instead.
Will these exercises improve eyesight?
The chart makes no such claim. Palming and eye exercises are relaxation routines from yoga; any problem with vision should be checked by an eye specialist.
What size is the chart and how is it finished?
It measures 50 x 75 cm, is laminated with thick plastic film on both sides and has plastic rollers for hanging.
Which language versions can I order?
A combined English and Hindi chart, or an English-only chart; give the number of each in your enquiry.
What should an export enquiry include?
Quantity, language version, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, any labelling or packing needs, and the tender reference if applicable.
Who manufactures the Healthy Eye Chart?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
The chart comes from Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, a manufacturer of school charts, models and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Because it is produced in JLab’s own works rather than sourced through a trader, schools, colleges, yoga centres, dealers and importers buy at source, each chart is visually inspected before it is dispatched, and repeat supplies come from the same manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to every region — for instance Benin in West Africa, Vietnam in Southeast Asia, Nepal in South Asia, the Czech Republic in Eastern Europe and Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. Details for tender buyers are on the JLab lab tenders page.
