What Is the Vajrasan, Ustrasan and Supt Vajrasan Chart Used For?
All three postures start from the same kneeling base, so the chart works as a short progression. Vajrasan is the simple kneeling seat: the knees together, sitting back on the heels with the spine upright, and it is often used instead of cross-legged postures for breathing practice and meditation. Ustrasan, the camel pose, lifts from that kneel into a backbend, with the hips pushed forward and the hands reaching back to the heels.
