Helical Structure of Virus Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-5220
Jlab Export is a leading Helical Structure of Virus Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Helical Structure of Virus Model (code EL-BE-5220) is a teaching model of a virus with helical symmetry, in which protein subunits spiral around the viral nucleic acid to form a rod. It helps biology and microbiology students understand capsid architecture and compare it with icosahedral and complex viruses. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Does the Helical Virus Model Show?
Every virus has a protein coat, the capsid, built from many identical subunits called capsomeres. In a helical virus these subunits are stacked in a spiral around the nucleic acid, so the genome sits in a groove running the length of a hollow rod. Tobacco mosaic virus, the rod-shaped plant virus with single-stranded RNA met in class 11 biology, is the classic example; many enveloped animal viruses, including influenza, measles and rabies, also carry a coiled nucleocapsid inside their envelope.
The model helps explain the three capsid types — helical, icosahedral and complex — and why a helical virus can only be as long as the nucleic acid it wraps. It suits school biology and college botany, zoology, microbiology and plant pathology classes.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — 10 models or more.
- Points to confirm — which virus the model is based on, its size and material, as these are not listed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is helical symmetry in a virus?
It is a capsid arrangement in which identical protein subunits spiral around the nucleic acid, producing a rigid rod or a flexible filament with the genome protected inside.
Which virus is the usual example of helical structure?
Tobacco mosaic virus. This listing does not say which virus the model is based on, so ask JLab if your syllabus names one.
Who manufactures this model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab), at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, is a manufacturer of biology models and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The company is registered under CIN U29309HR2017PTC069123 and holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise. Models like this one are made in JLab’s own works rather than bought from traders, so buyers order factory-direct and every unit is inspected visually before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Ethiopia in East Africa, Hong Kong in East Asia, Algeria in North Africa, Eswatini in Southern Africa and Kuwait in the Middle East.
