Product Code : EL-ELA-5363
Jlab Export is a leading Liebig Condenser Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Liebig Condenser (code EL-ELA-5363) is a hand-blown borosilicate glass condenser that cools and condenses vapour as it passes through its centre tube, for distillation and reflux in chemistry labs. It has a 300 mm water jacket and 24/40 ground-glass joints, so it fits directly into jointed distillation and reflux assemblies. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab Liebig Condensers?
| Model | Glass | Listed length | Joints and fittings |
|---|---|---|---|
| This condenser (EL-ELA-5363) | Borosilicate, hand blown | 300 mm jacket | 24/40 joints |
| Liebig Condenser | Borosilicate | 300 mm jacket on a 500 mm condenser tube | Inner tube with plastic nuts and rubber washers |
| Condensers, Liebig | Not stated in its listing | Effective lengths from 60 mm to 400 mm (seven items) | Cone and socket sizes from B10 to B29 |
Choose this condenser when your flasks and adapters use 24/40 joints and a 300 mm jacket suits the bench. The other Liebig Condenser listing uses plastic nuts and rubber washers instead of ground joints, and the Condensers, Liebig range offers shorter and longer effective lengths with B-size joints.
What Is the Liebig Condenser Used For?
In a Liebig condenser the vapour travels along a straight centre tube while cold water flows through the surrounding jacket; heat passes through the glass wall, the vapour condenses on the inside, and the liquid runs down into the receiver. It is the usual condenser for simple distillation — from the class 9 science separation of two miscible liquids to class 11 and 12 organic practicals and college purification work — and it can stand upright on a flask to heat a reaction under reflux. Borosilicate glass copes with the temperature changes of distillation better than ordinary soda-lime glass.
Clamp it near the middle of the jacket, connect the cooling water to the lower side arm and lead it away from the upper one so the jacket stays full, and start the water flow before heating the flask. Lightly grease or sleeve the 24/40 joints so they do not seize, and let the glass cool before taking the set apart.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Joint and jacket — this model has 24/40 joints and a 300 mm jacket; compare the alternatives above if your glassware uses other joints.
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 condensers; plan spares for breakage.
- Accessories — condenser clamps, rubber tubing, flasks and a heating mantle can go in the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What joint size does this condenser have?
24/40 joints, which fit glassware made with the same joint size. If your flasks use B-size joints, see the Condensers, Liebig range compared above.
How long is the water jacket?
300 mm. The listing does not give the overall length or the type of hose connections, so ask JLab if those affect your set-up.
Which way should the cooling water flow?
In at the lower side arm and out at the upper one. Counter-current flow keeps the jacket full of water and cools the vapour most effectively.
How does it differ from the other Liebig Condenser listing?
Both are borosilicate with a 300 mm jacket. This one has 24/40 joints and is hand blown; the other is listed on a 500 mm condenser tube with plastic nuts and rubber washers instead of ground joints.
Are clamps or tubing included?
No. The listing covers the condenser only; clamps and rubber tubing are separate items, linked below.
What should an export quotation request include?
The quantity, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, packing or labelling needs, and a tender reference where relevant.
Who manufactures this Liebig condenser?
JLab — Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd — hand blows it in borosilicate glass at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a laboratory glassware and apparatus manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Its condensers are blown at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so colleges, schools, dealers and importers buy factory-direct, every piece is visually inspected before dispatch, and replacements for breakages are supplied by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — Poland in Eastern Europe, Hong Kong in East Asia, Ethiopia in East Africa, Lithuania in Northern Europe and Guinea in West Africa among them. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
Distillation Set-Up Items
- Heating Mantle — an electric heater that holds the distillation flask.
- Round Bottom Flask with Joint — borosilicate flasks in different capacities for the boiling side of the set.
- Aluminium Condenser Clamp — a four-prong powder-coated clamp for holding the condenser.
- Rubber Tubing — flexible tubing for the cooling-water connections.
