Mechanism of Muscle Contraction Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-5881
Jlab Export is a leading Mechanism of Muscle Contraction Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Mechanism of Muscle Contraction Model (code EL-BE-5881) is a biology teaching model of how a skeletal muscle shortens — the sliding filament mechanism, in which actin and myosin filaments slide past each other inside every sarcomere. It is used in the class 11 chapter on locomotion and movement and in college physiology, sports science and nursing. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Muscle Contraction Model Used For?
Each skeletal muscle fibre is packed with myofibrils divided into sarcomeres, the units between two Z lines. Thick myosin filaments form the dark A band; thin actin filaments, carrying the regulatory proteins troponin and tropomyosin, form the light I band. A nerve impulse reaching the neuromuscular junction releases acetylcholine, an action potential spreads along the fibre, and the sarcoplasmic reticulum releases calcium ions. Calcium binds troponin, uncovering binding sites on actin.
Myosin heads, energised by splitting ATP, attach to actin as cross-bridges and pull the thin filaments towards the centre of the A band. The Z lines move closer, so the sarcomere shortens; the I band narrows while the A band keeps its length. A fresh ATP molecule releases each head for the next stroke, and the muscle relaxes when calcium is pumped back. A model lets students follow this sequence step by step.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which stages and structures does the model show?
The listing does not specify them, and there is no product photograph online yet; size and material are not stated either. Ask JLab for a description and photo with your quotation.
Does it show a whole muscle or the filaments?
The title refers to the mechanism, which happens at filament level, but the listing does not confirm the scale. For whole-muscle anatomy, JLab lists separate muscle models, linked below.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a physiology and biology teaching-aid manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab builds this model in its own works rather than reselling a trader’s stock, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy factory-direct and keep one supplier for repeat orders. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Bhutan in South Asia, Oman in the Middle East, Peru in South America, DR Congo in Central Africa and Georgia in Eastern Europe. Tender buyers can consult the JLab lab tenders page.
