What Is the Miniature X-Ray Contraster Used For?

Miniature X-ray films come from photofluorography, also called mass miniature radiography, in which the image formed on a fluorescent screen is photographed onto small-format film instead of a full-size sheet. A 70 mm or 100 mm frame is too small to study by eye on an ordinary illuminated view box, so it has to be enlarged. This contraster takes the film as cut frames or as a roll and projects each frame up to 14 x 17 inch, the same format as a full-size chest film, on its own screen, where a small group can look at it together. It suits radiography and radiology teaching rooms and departments that hold collections of miniature films.

Keep films free of fingerprints and dust, which show up when the image is enlarged. The listing does not describe the lamp, power supply or dimensions, so ask JLab for these details with your quotation.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of laboratory and teaching equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The contraster is built at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so institutions, dealers and importers buy it straight from the maker, and repeat orders are handled by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region, for example the USA in North America, Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, Kuwait in the Middle East, Gabon in Central Africa and Kenya in East Africa.
