Setting and Holding the Volume
Turning the plunger moves the 4-digit display through small increments, and the click at every step confirms each change, so the volume does not shift by accident once set. The plunger is shaped so it does not snag gloves, and the whole action can be done with one hand.
Rotating Housing, Tip Ejector and Holder
