Osmosis in Animal & Plant Cell Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-6075
Jlab Export is a leading Osmosis in Animal & Plant Cell Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Osmosis in Animal & Plant Cell Model (code EL-BE-6075) is a biology teaching model that compares what osmosis does to an animal cell and to a plant cell: one may swell or shrink, the other is held by its cell wall and becomes turgid or plasmolysed. It fits the class 11 chapter on transport in plants and school and college lessons on cells. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Osmosis in Animal and Plant Cell Model Used For?
An animal cell such as a red blood cell has only a thin plasma membrane. In a hypotonic solution water enters until the cell swells and may burst (haemolysis); in a hypertonic solution water leaves and the cell shrinks and crinkles (crenation); in an isotonic solution there is no net change. A plant cell responds differently because its rigid cell wall resists bursting. In dilute solution it fills with water and presses against the wall, becoming turgid; in a concentrated solution the protoplast shrinks away from the wall — plasmolysis — and the change reverses when the cell is returned to water.
Teachers use the model to prepare students for the familiar practical in which an epidermal peel of a Rhoeo leaf is placed in salt or sugar solution and watched under the microscope, and to explain why plants wilt when turgor is lost.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a plant cell not burst in pure water?
Its cell wall pushes back as the cell swells. The resulting turgor pressure stops further net entry of water, so the cell becomes firm instead of bursting.
Which cells and stages does the model show?
The listing does not describe them, or the size and material. Ask JLab for a description and photograph with the quotation.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian maker of biology teaching aids and laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This model is made at JLab’s own works and not bought in from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers receive it from the manufacturer and can repeat orders with the same supplier. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Gambia in West Africa, Papua New Guinea in Oceania, Afghanistan in South Asia, Rwanda in East Africa and Finland in Northern Europe. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
