Scintillation Counter Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-NP-1049
Jlab Export is a leading Scintillation Counter Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Scintillation Counter (code EL-NP-1049) is an instrument for detecting and measuring ionising radiation: incident radiation excites a scintillator material, and the counter detects the light pulses that result. It is offered for nuclear physics practicals in college and university labs. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Scintillation Counter Used For?
When radiation deposits energy in a scintillator, the material gives off a brief flash of light; in a typical counter a photomultiplier or similar light sensor turns each flash into an electrical pulse that is counted. Because the size of the pulse depends on the energy deposited, scintillation counters are used not only to count gamma and beta radiation but also, with suitable electronics, to study radiation energies. In B.Sc. and M.Sc. nuclear physics labs they are used alongside G.M. counters to compare detector types, measure count rates from laboratory sources and study absorption. Handle sources with tongs and follow your institution’s radiation-safety rules.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Detector and read-out — describe your experiments so JLab can confirm the scintillator, high-voltage supply and counter supplied.
- Sources and accessories — add radioactive sources or handling tongs to the same enquiry if needed.
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does a scintillation counter differ from a G.M. counter?
A G.M. tube gives the same size of pulse for every ionising event, so it only counts. A scintillation counter produces pulses whose size depends on the energy deposited, so it can also be used to study radiation energy.
What is included with this scintillation counter?
The listing describes the detection principle but not the parts supplied. Ask JLab to confirm the detector, supply and read-out before ordering.
Who manufactures this counter?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, builds it at its Ambala works in Haryana and quotes for it directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maker of nuclear physics and other physics lab instruments in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The counter is produced at JLab’s own works, not sourced from a trader, so colleges, dealers and importers order direct from the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Uzbekistan in Central Asia, the Philippines in Southeast Asia, Serbia in Southern Europe, Yemen in the Middle East and Slovakia in Eastern Europe.
