Filling and Fitting the Tube
Put a loose plug of cotton wool in the tube, add a granular drying agent and close it with a second plug, leaving enough space for gas to pass freely. Then seat the cone in the socket of a condenser, flask or adapter of the same size. Renew the drying agent once it has caked or become saturated.
