What Is the AM Kit Used For?
In amplitude modulation the amplitude of a high-frequency carrier rises and falls in step with a lower-frequency signal. The kit’s AM modulator circuit produces this modulated carrier, and its demodulator recovers the original signal by the diode detector method, in which a diode rectifies the modulated wave and a filter removes the carrier, leaving the envelope.
