Anthimus Glucose Metabolism Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-6078
Jlab Export is a leading Anthimus Glucose Metabolism Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Anthimus Glucose Metabolism Model (code EL-BE-6078) is a teaching model on glucose metabolism for biochemistry and physiology lessons — a useful starting point for explaining how different tissues take up, use and share glucose after a meal and between meals. It suits college biochemistry, physiology, nursing and pharmacy courses and extension work after class 11 respiration. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Anthimus Glucose Metabolism Model Used For?
Glucose enters cells through GLUT transporter proteins. Muscle and fat cells take it up mainly when insulin is present, while the liver and brain take it up without insulin. The brain depends heavily on glucose, and red blood cells, which have no mitochondria, rely on glycolysis alone. After a meal, surplus glucose is stored as glycogen and fat; between meals the liver releases glucose from glycogen and later makes new glucose, while muscles switch increasingly to fatty acids.
Tissues also exchange products. In the Cori cycle, lactate from working muscle and from red cells travels to the liver, is turned back into glucose and returns in the blood. A side route, the pentose phosphate pathway, uses glucose to make NADPH for fat synthesis and for protecting red cells, and ribose for nucleotides. A model gives students one picture of how these routes connect.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does “Anthimus” in the name mean?
The listing does not explain it. Ask JLab what the model shows, with a photograph, before ordering.
How is it different from the Glucose Metabolism Model?
Neither listing describes its contents, so the difference is not stated. Request photographs of both to compare.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer in India of laboratory equipment and teaching models for biology and biochemistry, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This model is made at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order from the manufacturer itself and can return to it for repeat supplies. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example the Netherlands in Western Europe, Libya in North Africa, Congo in Central Africa, Chile in South America and Canada in North America. Tender buyers can consult the JLab lab tenders page.
