Bio Lipid Metabolism Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-6079
Jlab Export is a leading Bio Lipid Metabolism Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Bio Lipid Metabolism Model (code EL-BE-6079) is a biochemistry teaching model on lipid metabolism — how the body releases and burns stored fat for energy, and how it builds fatty acids, fat and cholesterol when food is plentiful. It is intended for college biochemistry, physiology, nursing and pharmacy teaching and for extension work on class 11 biomolecules. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Bio Lipid Metabolism Model Used For?
Between meals, hormone-sensitive lipase in fat tissue splits stored triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol; glucagon and adrenaline switch this on and insulin switches it off. In other tissues the fatty acids are activated, carried into the mitochondria by the carnitine shuttle and broken down by beta-oxidation, which removes two carbon atoms at a time as acetyl CoA. The acetyl CoA feeds the Krebs cycle, and in the fasting liver part of it is turned into ketone bodies.
After a meal rich in carbohydrate the flow reverses. In the cytoplasm of liver and fat cells, acetyl CoA carboxylase makes malonyl CoA, and fatty acid synthase builds fatty acids using NADPH; these are joined to glycerol as triglycerides for storage. Acetyl CoA is also the starting material for cholesterol, with HMG-CoA reductase as the main controlled step. A model lets students follow both directions on one picture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the body turn fatty acids into glucose?
Not in net amounts. Beta-oxidation yields acetyl CoA, which humans cannot convert back to pyruvate, so fatty acids cannot supply new glucose; the glycerol part of fat can.
How does it differ from the Fat and Steroid Metabolism Model?
That model covers fat digestion, storage and use and the steroid compounds made from cholesterol. This listing is named for lipid metabolism in general and does not describe its contents, so ask JLab for a photograph of each.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of biochemistry teaching models and laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The model is built in JLab’s own works rather than resold from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy from the maker and reorder from the same source. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, the Czech Republic in Eastern Europe, Turkmenistan in Central Asia, Canada in North America and Thailand in Southeast Asia. Tender buyers will find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
