Diabetic Ketoacidosis Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-BE-6081
Jlab Export is a leading Diabetic Ketoacidosis Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Diabetic Ketoacidosis Model (code EL-BE-6081) is a teaching model of diabetic ketoacidosis, the serious complication of diabetes in which a lack of insulin drives up blood glucose and ketone bodies until the blood turns acidic. It links carbohydrate metabolism, fat metabolism and acid–base balance for class 11 hormone lessons and for college biochemistry, physiology, nursing and medical teaching. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Diabetic Ketoacidosis Model Used For?
The condition develops when insulin is severely lacking, most often in people whose bodies make little or none, while glucagon is relatively high. Muscle and fat cells cannot take up glucose, and the liver keeps adding more by breaking down glycogen and by gluconeogenesis, so blood glucose climbs. Glucose spills into the urine and draws water with it, causing heavy urination, thirst and dehydration.
At the same time fat tissue releases fatty acids that the liver oxidises to acetyl CoA faster than the Krebs cycle can use it. The excess becomes the ketone bodies acetoacetate, beta-hydroxybutyrate and acetone. The ketoacids use up the blood’s bicarbonate buffer and cause metabolic acidosis, which the body tries to offset with deep, rapid (Kussmaul) breathing; acetone gives the breath a fruity smell. Teachers use the model to show how one hormone deficiency upsets several pathways at once and why the condition is a medical emergency.
Frequently Asked Questions

OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of physiology and biology teaching models and laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. JLab makes this model at its own works rather than buying it in, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order from the maker directly and keep one source for repeats. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Turkey in the Middle East, Hong Kong in East Asia, Sudan in North Africa, France in Western Europe and Bulgaria in Eastern Europe.
