Jlab Export is a leading BCD to Decimal Decoder Using IC 7492 Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

BCD to Decimal Decoder Using IC 7492 (code EL-DEECP-1178) is a digital electronics trainer for studying how a 4-bit BCD input is decoded into one of ten decimal outputs. Four switches set the logic 1 or 0 input levels and ten LEDs show which decimal output is active, giving a simple decoder experiment for college, polytechnic and ITI labs. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is a BCD to Decimal Decoder Used For?

Binary-coded decimal (BCD) stores each decimal digit as its own 4-bit code. A BCD to decimal decoder reads those four bits and activates exactly one of ten outputs, one for each digit from zero to nine; the six remaining 4-bit combinations are not valid BCD codes. Decoders of this kind drive decimal indicator lamps and displays in counters and meters. On this trainer students set each BCD code on the four switches and check that the correct one of the ten LEDs lights, building the decoder’s truth table — the reverse of a decimal to binary encoder.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Decoder IC — confirm the IC with JLab if your practical manual names one.
  • Mains supply — state your supply voltage, as the listing does not give the power input.
  • Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
