Jlab Export is a leading Cell Mediated Immune Response Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Cell Mediated Immune Response Model (code EL-BE-6128) is a teaching model of cell-mediated immunity — the arm of acquired immunity in which T lymphocytes, not antibodies, destroy infected and abnormal cells. NCERT class 12 biology links it to graft rejection, and college immunology covers it in depth. The model is manufactured by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Cell Mediated Immune Response Model Used For?
It shows students how T cells deal with threats that hide inside cells. A macrophage or other presenting cell displays fragments of the invader to helper T cells, which become activated and release cytokines such as interleukins. Cytotoxic T cells then multiply, recognise body cells that show the foreign peptide on MHC class I molecules and kill them with perforin and granzymes, while interferon-gamma from helper T cells drives macrophages to destroy intracellular bacteria such as those causing tuberculosis. Memory T cells remain afterwards. This branch of immunity protects against viruses, intracellular bacteria, fungi and cancer cells; it is also why transplanted organs can be rejected, and why the tuberculin (Mantoux) skin test produces a delayed reaction.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does cell-mediated immunity differ from humoral immunity?
Cell-mediated immunity relies on T cells acting directly on infected or foreign cells; humoral immunity relies on antibodies secreted by plasma cells into body fluids. JLab offers a separate Humoral Immune Response Model.
