What Is the Mantoux Test Model Used For?
In the Mantoux test a small dose of tuberculin purified protein derivative (PPD) is injected into the skin of the inner forearm, raising a small pale bleb. Two to three days later the site is examined and the induration — the raised, hardened area, not the redness — is measured across the forearm in millimetres. A positive reaction shows sensitivity to tuberculosis proteins, from infection or earlier BCG vaccination, but it cannot by itself separate latent infection from active disease, so clinicians interpret it with other findings.
The model helps teach these steps in nursing and medical clinical-skills sessions, community-medicine classes and TB-awareness lessons in college biology.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a Mantoux test measure?
The diameter of induration, the firm raised area at the injection site, read two to three days after tuberculin is injected into the skin. Redness alone is not measured.
Are tuberculin and syringes included?
No. They are not part of this listing, which covers the teaching model only; it is not a test kit and gives no results.
Who manufactures the Mantoux Test Model?
JLab — Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd — makes it at its Ambala works in Haryana, India, and supplies quotations directly.
OEM Manufacturer
The model is built by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab), a laboratory equipment and teaching-model manufacturer in India that was incorporated in 2017 and operates from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. It is made in JLab’s own works, not bought from a trader, so colleges, dealers and importers deal directly with the maker, and each piece is inspected before packing. The company is registered under CIN U29309HR2017PTC069123 and holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 (manufacturing enterprise). JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for instance Nigeria in West Africa, Turkmenistan in Central Asia, Ethiopia in East Africa, Congo in Central Africa and Lebanon in the Middle East. See the JLab lab tenders page for tender enquiries.
