Convergent Plate Boundaries Model

Product Code : EL-ERAM-4403
Jlab Export is a leading Convergent Plate Boundaries Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Convergent Plate Boundaries Model (code EL-ERAM-4403) is a plate tectonics teaching model of convergent, or destructive, plate boundaries — the zones where lithospheric plates collide. It helps students see why magma is generated at subduction zones and why these boundaries are linked with volcanoes and earthquakes. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) makes it at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with the Other JLab Plate Boundary Models?

ModelAlso calledWhat the plates do
This model (EL-ERAM-4403)Destructive boundaryCollide; magma is generated at subduction zones
Divergent Plate Boundaries ModelConstructive boundaryDrift away from one another
Transform Plate Boundaries Model—Move horizontally past each other on strike-slip faults; lithosphere is neither created nor destroyed

Choose this model for lessons on colliding plates and subduction; order all three to cover every boundary type in one lesson.

What Is the Convergent Plate Boundaries Model Used For?

When two plates move towards each other, the denser plate — usually oceanic — bends down and sinks beneath the other into the mantle. This subduction forms a deep ocean trench, sets off earthquakes along the sinking plate, and causes rock above it to melt partly; the magma rises to feed chains of volcanoes. Where two continents meet, neither sinks easily and the crust crumples into fold mountains, as in the Himalayas, raised where the Indian plate meets the Eurasian plate. The model is used for the plate tectonics topic in class 11 physical geography and in college earth science.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are convergent boundaries called destructive?
Because lithosphere is consumed there: at a subduction zone one plate descends into the mantle, so plate material is lost rather than created.

Where is magma generated at a convergent boundary?
At the subduction zone, where the descending plate causes partial melting; the listing names this as the key process.

Can I get the three plate boundary models together?
Yes. Add the divergent and transform models to the same enquiry; the minimum order is 10 units, usually dispatched within 7–10 working days.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab trades as the brand of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an earth science, geography and school lab equipment manufacturer incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The model is made in its own works, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order direct from the maker. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Libya in North Africa, the Dominican Republic in Central America and the Caribbean, Norway in Northern Europe, New Zealand in Oceania and Slovenia in Southern Europe.
