Delta Modulation and Demodulation Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-CT-1503
Jlab Export is a leading Delta Modulation and Demodulation Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Delta Modulation and Demodulation (code EL-CT-1503) is a communication trainer for studying delta modulation, in which an analog signal is sent as a stream of single bits that say whether it has risen or fallen since the previous sample, and the demodulation that rebuilds the signal from those bits. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Delta Modulation Trainer Used For?
Delta modulation is the simplest way of turning an analog signal into a bit stream. At each clock instant the modulator compares the input with the approximation it has built up so far: if the input is higher it sends a one and steps the approximation up, and if it is lower it sends a zero and steps it down. The receiver builds the same staircase from the bits and smooths it with a low-pass filter. In digital designs the staircase is often produced by an up/down counter driving a digital-to-analog converter, with a comparator making each decision; this board’s IC complement includes up/down counters, a DAC and a comparator.
The operating instructions cover the object, theory, design procedure, report suggestions and book references for the experiment.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Number of delta modulation trainers.
- Bench space — each unit measures W 340 x H 110 x D 210 mm and weighs about 3 kg.
- Related trainers — the DPCM and PCM trainers linked below are separate items that can go on the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is slope overload, and how can students see it?
With a fixed step size, the staircase can only climb or fall by one step per clock period. If the input changes faster than that, the approximation lags behind and the output is distorted — slope overload. When the input barely changes, the staircase hunts up and down around it, which is granular noise. Raising the modulating signal amplitude with the potentiometer increases the signal’s slope and is a direct way to bring on slope overload.
How does delta modulation differ from PCM and DPCM?
PCM codes every sample as a multi-bit word, DPCM codes the difference between each sample and a prediction, and delta modulation is the one-bit case of differential coding. JLab’s DPCM trainer, which runs from the same 5 V and ±12 V, 100 mA IC regulated supplies, has a DPCM encoder and decoder and a 10 Hz to 100 Hz audio oscillator.
What else is required for the experiment?
A 20 MHz cathode ray oscilloscope, which is a separate item, to observe the waveforms; patch cords are provided with the trainer. The Dual Trace Oscilloscope linked below can be quoted together with it.
What should an export enquiry mention?
The number of trainers, the destination country and port or city, the preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirements, and a tender reference if applicable.
Who manufactures this delta modulation trainer?
JLab, the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of communication trainers and other electronics laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The delta modulation trainer is made in JLab’s own works and not bought in from a trader, so institutions, dealers and importers order it direct, and further units and spares come from the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Sweden in Northern Europe, Slovenia in Southern Europe, Fiji in Oceania, Afghanistan in South Asia and Chad in Central Africa. Tender buyers will find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
