| Listing | Type | Details given on its page |
|---|---|---|
| This eye wash bottle (EL-SLE-5609) | Portable bottle | Soft eye wash cap on a tube; 500 ml reservoir |
| Emergency Eye Washer | Fixed eyewash and shower unit | Stainless steel; operated by pull rod, hand push lever or foot lever; stainless steel shower head |
The bottle is a portable first-response item for individual benches and small rooms. The stainless steel unit is a fixed installation with a shower, for labs that plan a permanent eyewash and drench point.
What Is an Eye Wash Bottle Used For?
If a chemical splashes into someone’s eye, the first step is to rinse it with plenty of clean liquid at once. With this bottle the soft cap is held against the eye, the eyelids are kept open and liquid from the reservoir is run through the tube to rinse it, while someone else calls for medical help. In school chemistry and biology labs, where students handle acids, alkalis and stains, it is kept within easy reach of the benches. It does not replace a plumbed eyewash station where one is required, nor safety goggles, which keep splashes out of the eyes in the first place. Fill it with clean water or an eyewash solution, label it clearly, and check and refill it on a regular schedule.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the capacity of the eye wash bottle?
The reservoir bottle holds 500 ml, which is delivered through a tube to the soft eye wash cap.
Is it supplied filled with eyewash solution?
The listing does not mention any solution, so plan to fill it with clean water or an eyewash solution of your choice. Ask JLab if you need this confirmed for your order.
Can it replace a fixed eyewash station?
No. It is a portable first-aid item for quick rinsing near the bench. Where your safety rules call for a plumbed eyewash or drench unit, JLab also lists a stainless steel Emergency Eye Washer.
Who makes the eye wash bottle?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maker of school lab equipment and lab safety items in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The eye wash bottle comes from JLab’s own works rather than a trading house, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy it factory-direct, every bottle is checked by eye before it is packed, and repeat orders are handled by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Vietnam in Southeast Asia, Mongolia in East Asia, the USA in North America, Ireland in Western Europe and Bangladesh in South Asia.
