What Is the Multistage Centrifugal Pump Test Rig Used For?
A multistage pump passes the water through impellers in series, so each stage adds head at the same flow rate; that is how multistage pumps reach heads one impeller of the same size cannot. The rig’s readings give the pump’s water power and the overall efficiency of pump and motor.
