Product Code : EL-FOT-10292
Jlab Export is a leading Unsteady State Apparatus Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Unsteady State Apparatus (code EL-FOT-10292) is a heat transfer laboratory set-up for studying transient conduction, the period when a solid’s temperature is still changing with time. A copper test cylinder with a thermocouple at its centre is heated in a water bath. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Unsteady State Apparatus Used For?
When a cool solid meets a hot fluid, its temperature rises over time before levelling off. The cylinder’s temperature–time curve, compared with the bath temperature, gives the heat transfer coefficient and the Biot and Fourier numbers. Copper, brass and mild steel conduct heat at very different rates, so the three test pieces heat differently.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between steady and unsteady state heat transfer?
In steady state the temperature at every point stays constant with time; in unsteady (transient) state it is still changing, as in a body that has just been placed in a hot bath.
How does it differ from the Unsteady State Heat Transfer Unit?
Both heat a test cylinder in a water bath. This apparatus sets the bath temperature with a dimmer, while the Unsteady State Heat Transfer Unit uses a digital temperature controller.
Who manufactures the Unsteady State Apparatus?
JLab makes it at its own works in Ambala, Haryana.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an engineering lab equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The apparatus is built at JLab’s own works, not bought in, so colleges and dealers deal with the maker for orders and spares. The company holds GSTIN 06AADCJ9848D1ZE and Legal Entity Identifier 549300DTGS77DGYD6N03. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Belgium in Western Europe, Serbia in Southern Europe, Paraguay in South America, Canada in North America and Bahrain in the Middle East.
